STENDHAL Milano now also in Rome, in Galleria Alberto Sordi

In the heart of Rome, inside the central Galleria Alberto Sordi , the Vudafieri -Saverino Partners architectural studio designed the new Stendhal Milano restaurant, created by AFA Arredamenti.
130 square meters distributed between the ground floor room and the main room on the mezzanine floor, where a more intimate environment has been created with an open kitchen . The “ Green Stendhal ” as a common thread , the customized wallpaper , always in shades of green, with a design that, in a play of arches and openings, refers to the historic Gallery in which it is located; refined materials such as brass, marble, textured glass and wood, the latter with a tailor- made texture created based on a design by architects Claudio Saverino and Tiziano Vudafieri .
Thanks to the large windows, the relationship between the contemporary interiors and the exterior of the Galleria is greatly emphasized.
At the entrance of Stendhal Milano, the architects have placed a highly expressive and scenographic element: a large custom-made bar counter, in green lacquer, with a marble top and green tile inserts . Behind it, a back counter with an antique mirror and a suspended bottle rack , which is characterized by a reinterpretation of Vienna straw, with a brass mesh used for the edge of the shelf.
On the wall adjacent to the staircase that connects the two floors of the restaurant, a neon sign taken from Stendhal's Promenades pays homage to one of the writer's thoughts on Rome: “Il n'y a aucune logic in Rome, but sensitivity passionate and life toujours - There is no logic in Rome, but passionate sensitivity always lives there”.
