The purpose of Nanni’s family indicated to arch. Novelli of Monostudio was to restyle their OLIMPIA pastry shop without altering it.
AFA’s work consisted in expanding the place and transforming the former laboratory in a huge sitting and eating area.
The technical area is characterized by curved bar counters with a mahogany front panel worked with vertical joints; the same motif is repeated on all the vertical surfaces of the place, such as the wave-shaped wood panelling.
In the centre of the room there is a very versatile and scenic living room with a sofa island, completely covered in white fireproof faux leather, surrounding a pillar covered in mirror mosaic.
Functional and appearance needs have led to the creation of an area raised on a platform that hosts sittings with tables in Corian but also houses wine cellars for displaying wines.
The basic lighting of the place is provided by a luminous ceiling in BARISOL, with lighting bodies concealed from view, while the lounges are completed by spectacular chandeliers. The technical area of the bar counter is equipped with functional LED spotlights.
