Solidarietà con gusto: San Patrignano inaugurates in Milan the new piadineria to encourage the social reintegration of the people of the Community.

Flour, lard, bicarbonate, salt, and water. Pascoli called it “the bread, or rather the national food of the romagnoli”, today it is more commonly known as piadina.

Oil or traditional, integral or stuffed, it is included among the Italian street food par excellence.

San Patrignano, which has always been committed to the enhancement of its territory, has inaugurated yesterday the new piadineria Solidarietà con gusto: a glimpse of Romagna in the heart of Milan where you can taste traditional products such as the DOP squacquerone, pecorino cheese, caciotta, or raw ham cutting boards to accompany a glass of wine.

All the raw materials come strictly from San Patrignano, as well as everything that comes out of the kitchen passes from the hands of the boys of the Community.

A place for a quick lunch, a snack, an aperitif or a take-away dinner, at the Piazza Portello shopping center, doubled in size compared to the previous format and a new image, from furnishings to layout, thanks to the contribution of AFA Arredamenti di Rimini.

The expansion of space has been granted by Iper, La grande i – among the leaders of large retailers – who first believed in the potential of the products of San Patrignano demonstrating over time great trust and support for its mission.

“We are very proud of the new space at Portello and how the word welcome that is part of our being a community of life can now be further developed to create an atmosphere of extraordinary conviviality. – explains Roberto Bezzi, President of the Agricultural Cooperative of San Patrignano – We offer quick and genuine dishes, an expression of our territory and love for things done well, capable of enhancing in a gourmet version even a simple food, like piadina”.

Behind the counter five guys who have completed the recovery program and the Training in the catering sector: a spin-off of the Community designed to accompany people in the delicate phase of reintegration into the labor market towards progressive economic autonomy.

About 90 percent of young people who complete the rehabilitation program in San Patrignano go out with the certainty of employment, guaranteed by the network of satellite associations in the Community and by the companies with which it collaborates.
